How to distinguish between silicone ducts produced by high-temperature vulcanization and those made by conventional room-temperature vulcanization processes

    The red high-temperature silicone duct is primarily used for hot air discharge in dryers, ventilation in injection molding machines, dryers, and dehumidifiers, as well as for extracting smoke, moisture, and dust. It is also employed to channel hot and cold air, serve as granular desiccants in the plastic industry, and facilitate dust removal in extraction-type workshops. Additionally, it is used for exhaust air, furnace air discharge, and welding gas extraction, widely applied in engine structures, aerospace equipment, and military devices for high-temperature gas discharge.  The inner wall is smooth. Currently available on the market, this type of hose comes in two variants: high-temperature vulcanized and room-temperature vulcanized. High-temperature vulcanization is a recently updated production process, whereas earlier years only allowed the production of room-temperature vulcanized high-temperature ducts. With technological advancements and improved production equipment, the current quality of this orange-red high-temperature hose can fully replace imported hoses, with its superior performance not inferior to imported ducts.  This silicone high-temperature duct is constructed with a silicone glass fiber cloth coating, supported internally by spiral steel wires. The silicone glass cloth is bonded to the upper and lower layers of steel wires to enhance adhesion and tensile strength. Featuring a double-layer wall design, it prevents leakage, has a smooth inner surface, and offers high-temperature resistance, as well as resistance to acids and alkalis.

    Silicone air duct is an orange red high-temperature resistant hose, which is made of double-layer silicone glass fiber coated with white reinforced pressure and high-temperature resistant nylon wire, and then produced with red silicone rubber. The specifications and sizes can produce diameters between 19mm and 500mm, with a standard single-sided wall thickness of 1.21mm. It can also be produced according to customer requirements. This is a high-temperature resistant air duct with a temperature resistance of -70 ℃ -+280 ℃ (up to 300 ℃ in a short period of time), with a standard grid length of 4 meters per piece.


This high-temperature hose is made through high-temperature vulcanization, and many customers do not understand what high-temperature vulcanized silicone hose means? Why is the price higher than ordinary high-temperature pipes? This is because they use different processes, and the raw materials are vulcanized at high temperatures, resulting in a smoother, more beautiful, particle free appearance and aging resistance. Ordinary room temperature sulfurized high-temperature pipes may be placed for less than three months, and the pipe walls will age and break. In addition, the raw materials used for ordinary high-temperature pipes are not environmentally friendly, and bending will cause inward sinking, which will cause resistance in the pipeline during ventilation.

The difference between high-temperature vulcanized silicone duct and ordinary room temperature vulcanized silicone duct can be considered from the following aspects:

1. From an appearance perspective, ordinary silicone high-temperature ducts are made of room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber, which is manually coated onto fiberglass cloth. Due to the manual process, there may be uneven areas throughout the day, and there are many silicone particles that are vulcanized at room temperature, resulting in uneven surface particles on the ducts after production, seriously affecting their appearance. High temperature vulcanization can completely avoid this problem, because the silicone rubber vulcanized at 400 degrees Celsius has no particles, a very smooth surface, and no defects on the entire pipe surface.
2. From a material perspective, ordinary silicone high-temperature air ducts use industrial grade domestically produced silicone rubber raw materials, which have low toxicity and can only be used in industry. Moreover, high temperatures can produce toxic gases; The high-temperature vulcanized silicone duct uses environmentally friendly silicone rubber, which has passed environmental testing and is safer. It is suitable for mechanical equipment or ventilation scenarios with high environmental requirements.
3. From the bending state, ordinary silicone high-temperature air ducts are prone to concave body when bent, which can cause significant resistance during ventilation or exhaust. High temperature vulcanized silicone does not flatten when bent, and the bending radius is approximately equal to its diameter.
