The main function of a cooling hose is to connect various components in the cooling system, such as the engine, radiator, water pump, etc. In the cooling system, coolant (usually composed of water, antifreeze, and additives) needs to circulate between the engine and radiator. The cooling hose is like a "channel" that allows the coolant to flow smoothly between these components.

For example, when the engine generates heat during operation, the coolant absorbs the heat from the engine and flows through the cooling hose to the radiator. The radiator dissipates the heat in the coolant to the external environment through the flow of air, reducing the temperature of the coolant. Afterwards, the coolant returns to the engine through the cooling hose to continue absorbing heat, and this cycle repeats to maintain the engine operating within the appropriate temperature range.

Cooling hoses are generally made of rubber. This rubber material has good flexibility, heat resistance, and corrosion resistance. Because the working environment of the engine is relatively harsh, with large temperature changes, and may come into contact with chemical components in the coolant, engine oil, and other substances. Rubber material can resist the erosion of hoses caused by these factors. Suitable for transporting propylene glycol and pure water mixed antifreeze and cooling water in automobiles, medical equipment, data centers, and industrial cooling systems.

According to their shape and installation position, cooling hoses can be divided into upper water pipes and lower water pipes. The water supply pipe is usually connected to the upper part of the radiator and the engine, used to transport coolant from the radiator to the engine. The drain pipe connects the lower part of the radiator and the water pump, allowing the coolant to circulate in the cooling system.
